League of Legends (LOL) is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) developed by Riot Games in 2009. 

In League of Legends, games take place in a closed arena called the Summoner's Rift in which two teams of five players compete to destroy the enemy base, the Nexus. Before each game, players go through a draft phase during which they choose their champions and ban some for the opposing team. Each player controls a champion with unique abilities, and the aim is to cooperate with their team to overcome enemy defenses and destroy the opponents’ Nexus.
